GEOTA acts as the Governing body
and ensures that the members are offered a high standard of education in the safe use of Essential
Oil Therapy for Animals and Animal Aromatics.
More specifically, the aims of GEOTA are as follows:
- To elevate and maintain high standards of Essential Oil Therapy for Animals.
- To record any suspected adverse reactions to the use of Essential Oils on animals.
- To establish and maintain professional and ethical standards of practice.
- To improve public awareness regarding the benefits of Essential Oil Therapy for Animals.
- To provide education and continuing new developments on Essential Oil Therapy for Animals to our members through our quarterly Newsletter.
- To enhance the quality and credibility of this field of complementary therapy.
- To continue to research Essential Oils, olfactory science and related areas of concern.
- To maintain a directory of practitioners around the world.
- To maintain a directory of recognised schools and courses.
