GEOTA COMPLAINTS
PROCEDURE
1.
Any complaint against GEOTA or one of its members should be lodged
in writing with the secretary within 3 months of the incident/cause
of complaint.
2. The Member concerned will be invited to respond to the allegations
within 14 days of the complaint being lodged.
3. The case veterinary surgeon will be invited to comment.
4. The Executive Committee shall decide whether or not the complaint
warrants a full investigation.
5. In the event of such complaint the Executive Committee shall be
empowered to conduct a full investigation into the complaint and that
member may be excluded from the Membership if the Executive Committee
deems this necessary.
6. The results of any such investigation shall be conveyed in writing
to the member concerned and to the complainant.
7. Any member who is the subject of a complaint may appeal in writing
against the decision of the Executive Committee within 14 days of
the date of notification of the decision.
